The steam ship WilliamDenny

40 passengers, several of whom are of the earliest
of our Auckland colonists. Some are on a visit to
the sister colonies, others have departed on a more
lengthenedvoyage to the land of their birth. We
wish them a pleasant passage and a happy return. |

Stormy passage of 13days.
Of 393 sheep intended for the East Coast, 69 were
lost. ‘….We are glad to hear that the natives have
at length become impressed with themerits of breeding
sheep. If they only take to this branch of industry
with their usual energy, they will speedily develop
another of the many latent sources of inherent wealth
which these provinces possess…’ |

and small depth. Very comfortable cabin accommodation
for14 passengers. Was recently the flag ship at

Six and a half daysfrom
Sydney. Large general cargo and about 60 passengers.
The Denny’stop is very foul and her speed has, in
consequence, been materially impaired. She will,
therefore, be laid on the ground this trip to be
cleaned and painted. |
