The fine barque Ramillies has brought to our shores the first detachment of the new Corps of Royal New Zealand Fencibles consisting of 67 men under the command of Capt Kenny with their families of 55 women and 123 children.

She has been 111 days on the passage from Gravesend. The Ramillies has brought but a small mail as the Protector had sailed previously for Wellington, Nelson and Auckland and taken a large New Zealand mail.
