North Cape of NZ on Sunday last. The whaler Isaac
Howland hovein stays so close to the Kingston
that she…….came butt on to the Kingston’s
broadside, letting daylight into one of her cabins
and smashing three of her own boats……There was one
death (a child) and one birth during the passage,
the ship being remarkably healthy throughout……..The
Kingston is one of the finest ships that has
entered this harbour, of great length (200 fee over
all)……She was built at Sunderland of oakand teak. |
